I-model Import

Import the OpenPlant model from the referenced i-model using Import i-model

function.

During i-model import user has to select the OpenPlant 3D Schema.

The Review Differences dialog is used to review differences between incoming equipment any equipment that might be already placed in the Bentley Raceway and Cable Management equipment file. This tool is useful when importing an updated i-model where you can Review any changes and choose to Reject or Accept them before importing the updated i-model.

Note: During the very first i-model import, all equipment will have New status value.

Once changes have been reviewed and accepted, the following dialog displays. Select OK.

The Equipment Manager displays. Select a JunctionBox as the type (to symbolize electrical connection to equipment in referenced i-model).

Define the dimensions and select OK to place all connection points.

As a result, in the Bentley Raceway and Cable Management file all electrical connections or junction boxes will be placed at the insertion points of all OpenPlant equipment with their corresponding equipment IDs previously defined in the OpenPlant application.
